Aerospace Talent Group is a premier recruiting firm specializing in the aerospace industry. We are dedicated to connecting top talent with leading aerospace companies. Our client, a small MRO facility located near Albuquerque, NM, has been in operation for nearly five decades. They handle government contracts and small aircraft projects, with a focus on annuals and general A&P work. We are seeking a skilled A&P Mechanic to join their team for a long-term fit, ideally someone with roots in Albuquerque and a desire to work in a smaller MRO setting.

Job Description:

As an A&P Mechanic, you will be responsible for maintaining and repairing aircraft to ensure they meet safety and performance standards. This includes performing inspections, troubleshooting issues, and completing necessary repairs in accordance with FAA regulations and company policies.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Perform routine maintenance and repairs on various aircraft, primarily focusing on annual inspections and general A&P tasks.
  • Conduct thorough inspections and diagnostics to identify issues and ensure aircraft safety and compliance.
  • Use technical manuals, schematics, and diagnostic tools to troubleshoot and repair malfunctions.
  • Complete documentation and maintenance records accurately and timely.
  • Work independently and without direct supervision, ensuring high-quality standards are met.
  • Communicate effectively with team members and other departments to ensure efficient workflow and adherence to safety standards.

Qualifications:

  • FAA Airframe and Powerplant (A&P) certification preferred.
  • Strong knowledge of airframe and powerplant mechanics.
  • Capability to work independently without direct supervision.
  • Complete tool set and reliable transportation to work.
  • Effective communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • Must be a U.S. Person as defined by the U.S. government and eligible for export control, ITAR, and/or clearance.
  • Must currently reside full-time in the USA.
