DONATION PICK-UP DRIVER WANTED
Mon-Fri, F/T (40 hrs./wk.) $21hr.
Holidays, Vacations, Health Ins. EOE
We recognize as a driver your time on the road may be shorter or longer than anticipated. You will earn overtime should you work more than 40 hours a week. Should you work less than 40 hours we will compensate you with 40 hours providing you have worked a full work week and completed all work as scheduled.
This Means you can work as little as 30 hours a week and still get paid for 40 hours. It all depends on your work ethic and your hustle.

Description:
The Donation Pick-up Driver is responsible for mapping out their routes in the morning, Their routes can be anywhere between 20 and 60 stops a day. They are also responsible for picking up merchandise from donors, safely loading the merchandise onto the truck, returning to our warehouse, and unloading merchandise onto carts or into shipping containers. The Donation Pick-up Drivers are one of the most visible faces of our organization, and as such, must reflect the values of our organization. Qualifications & Proficiencies:
Current class D Massachusetts driver’s license, DOT health card, clean driving record for the past two years. Be able to speak English Fluently. Strong interpersonal communication skills. Experience driving box trucks a plus but willing to train qualified individuals must be able to pass a background check and a pre-employment/random drug tests (D.O.T. Regulation 49 CFR part 40).
Dependability, punctuality, flexibility, accuracy, strong work ethic, self-motivated, ability to multi-task and work independently. Ability to lift up to 50 pounds regularly. Ability to spend the majority of the day standing or moving about. Work may require climbing ladders, considerable standing, bending, kneeling, and reaching in awkward and tiring positions
Responsibilities … including, but not limited to:
Safely operate our trucks in picking up donations from residential and commercial donors.
Safely load and unload donated items. Ensure that donations are securely loaded to prevent damage while in transit. When unloading the donations, follow the direction of the Manager/Supervisor for placement of items. Screen donations for acceptability and usability. Be prepared to courteously decline donations, as needed. Prepare donation receipts for all residential and commercial donors. Ensure that trucks are kept clean and in good working order at all times. Notify the Manager/Supervisor when maintenance or safety is a concern. Drop off and picking up trucks at the repair shop as needed. Complete the Truck Reports and Driver’s Vehicle Inspection Report each day. These reports are required by DOT regulations. Work in the warehouse, as needed. Check with the Manager/Supervisor to see if assistance is needed before leaving for the day.
