Overview

CTG is seeking an experienced Epic Beaker Consultant for a large healthcare organization to implement, optimize, and support the Epic Beaker laboratory information system.

Responsibilities include:

• System Implementation and Optimization: Lead or assist in the implementation of Epic Beaker modules (Clinical Pathology), including system configuration, workflow analysis, and optimization to meet clinical and business needs.
• Testing and Validation: Create test plans, execute system testing, validate data migration, and document outcomes to ensure system functionality aligns with requirements.
• Troubleshooting and Support: Provide application troubleshooting, resolve issues, and escalate problems to vendors or IT teams when necessary. Offer go-live and post-go-live support.
• Training and Documentation: Develop training materials, conduct user training sessions, and maintain accurate documentation for system use and updates.
• Integration Management: Act as a liaison between clinical staff, IT teams, and vendors for system integration requests and interface development.
• Consulting Services: Collaborate with clients to identify improvement opportunities, optimize workflows, and implement best practices in laboratory operations.

Qualifications:

• Certification: Epic Beaker certification (AP or CP) is required; additional certifications in related Epic modules are preferred.
• Experience: At least 3+ years of experience in Epic Beaker implementation, production support, or optimization projects.
• Extensive experience in Epic Beaker CP
• Experience with hospital systems or laboratory workflows is highly valued.
• Technical Skills: Proficiency in system configuration
• Education: A bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Healthcare Informatics, or a related field is preferred.

Soft Skills:

• Strong analytical abilities, communication skills, problem-solving capabilities, and the ability to work both independently and collaboratively.

Excellent verbal and written English communication skills and the ability to interact professionally with a diverse group are required.

The expected base salary for this position ranges from $85.00/hour to $95.00/hour. Salary offers are based on a wide range of factors including relevant skills, training, experience, education, market factors, and where applicable, licensure or certifications obtained. In addition to salary, a competitive benefit package is also offered.
