Service | Quality | Knowledge

The Government and Commercial Contract Specialist works in collaboration with the Sr. VP of Sales Intermountain / Southwest Region and/or the Chief Production Officer to serve customers purchasing native seed and erosion control products from the company.

Contract Management

· Manage all aspects of Government and Special Commercial contracts for key customers across all NSG Regions (Pacific, Intermountain, and Midwest)

• Organize contract and bid documents (both internal and external) in the Company's online fire structure system
• Maintain shared calendars for contracts, with a particular focus on key deliverable dates
• Meticulous review of all contract documents, and communicate key components / deliverables to sales staff and senior management team, as necessary

· Help coordinate all contract activities

• Develop / Utilize bid templates to work up pricing and other components, under the direction of sales staff
• Help coordinate fulfilment activities with other staff, including procurement and warehouse staff

· Communicate directly with contract customers in a highly efficient, organized, and professional manner

Sales Support

· Over time, take on a book of business as determined by Senior Sales Staff

· Take customer calls directly as needed

· Assist with walk-in customers at the Lehi, UT location

· Assist with developing and implementing competitive bidding procedures

· Help Senior Sales Staff and the admin team in executing and maintaining efficient order processing procedures

· Assist the Senior Sales Staff in efforts associated with inventory management

· Process customer orders in the Company's ERP and follow through with warehouse manager on any specific needs of the customer

Marketing & Business Development Support

· Assist Senior Sales Staff in promoting the usage and benefits of native seed the market with key influencers in government agencies and NGOs

· Help Senior Sales Staff promote the Company's ability to produce unique local ecotype seed

· Work closely with the Marketing Team and Senior Sales Staff to develop a comprehensive marketing program including trade events, speaking engagements, marketing materials, etc.

Working Conditions:

While this is an office position, please note that you will be required to work near an environment containing dust and other plant related debris. People with asthma or known allergens to grasses, pollen, etc. should not apply.

Required Education/Experience

· Proven track record of government contract management

· Exceptional organizational and interpersonal skills

· Consummate team player

· Strong command of Microsoft Office, Excellent with Microsoft Excel

· A college degree in restoration science, range science, agronomy or related field is not required, but preferred

Preferred undergraduate/graduate degrees

· Rangeland Sciences

· Wildlife Conservation

· Plant Sciences

· Environmental Sciences & Management

· Ecological Management & Restoration

· Agronomy

· Other related degree

Experience in one or more of the following areas is a plus but not required

· Government contracts with BLM, USFS, NRCS and USFWS

· Commercial projects such as mining and reclamation, wetlands restoration or wildlife conservation

Compensation details: 60000-70000 Yearly Salary
