We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Data Science Manager to lead our Data Science team at Breeze Airways. The Data Science Manager will play a key role in leveraging data to drive strategic decision-making, improve operational efficiency, and enhance the overall guest experience.
Here's what you'll do - Analyze complex data sets to extract actionable insights and drive business decisions.
- Develop and implement machine learning algorithms and statistical models for predictive and prescriptive analytics.
- Clean, preprocess, and wrangle data to ensure accuracy, completeness, and relevance.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define problem statements, hypotheses, and success metrics.
- Design and conduct experiments to test hypotheses and validate models.
- Communicate findings and recommendations to stakeholders through reports, presentations, and data visualizations.
- Stay abreast of the latest developments in data science, machine learning, and related fields to continually enhance skills and knowledge.
- Contribute to the development and improvement of data infrastructure, tools, and processes.
- Provide mentorship and guidance to junior members of the data science team.
- Ensure compliance with data privacy and security regulations in all data-related activities.
Here's what you'll need to be successful Minimum Qualifications - 4-year degree in Computer Science or related field, or equivalent experience, including Boot Camp completion
- 2+ years relevant job experience
- Must have authorization to work in the US as defined by the Immigration Reform Act of 1986
- Must be at least 18 years of age
- High performance orientation, ability to work well under pressure, prioritize projects, meet deadlines, and maintain flexibility
- Strong attention to detail, organization, and time management skills
- Self-starter must have a positive attitude and strong desire for success
- Complete projects on time with minimal supervision, ability to work varied hours when necessary to meet deadlines
Preferred Qualifications - Post-graduate degree in Computer Science or related field, or professional certifications
- 4+ years data science experience
Skills/Talents - Proficiency in programming languages such as Python, R, or JavaStrong knowledge of data manipulation and analysis libraries (e.g., pandas, NumPy, scikit-learn)
- Experience with big data technologies (e.g., Hadoop, Spark, Kafka)
- Familiarity with cloud computing platforms (e.g., AWS, Azure, Google Cloud Platform)
- Expertise in machine learning techniques (e.g., supervised learning, unsupervised learning, deep learning)
- Proficient in statistical analysis and experimental design
- Experience with data visualization tools (e.g., Matplotlib, Seaborn, Tableau)
- Knowledge of SQL and database management systems
- Understanding of natural language processing (NLP) techniques
- Familiarity with version control systems (e.g., Git)
- Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to think critically about complex data-related challenges
