JOB TITLE: Mechanical Engineer

LOCATION: Suwanee, GA

Using practical leadership skills, teamwork, and a hands-on approach, the Mechanical Engineer (5-10 years of professional experience) will participate in project teams and work individually on projects designing, modifying, or improving process equipment and implementing new processes.

Responsibilities:

• Evaluate, select, order, install, and validate equipment used in the manufacturing processes and recommend equipment modifications to improve production efficiencies and production yields.
• Troubleshoot manufacturing equipment and process problems, determining the root cause of equipment failures/problems and recommending countermeasures.
• Analyze and identify modifications that can be made to improve equipment performance and reliability.
• Design, fabricate, or arrange for external fabrication of new equipment and replacement parts.
• Create, write, and/or modify preventive maintenance, troubleshooting, start-up, and other procedures and develop preventative maintenance schedules.
• Conduct research, compile data, and prepare technical and progress reports. Prepare and deliver presentations.

Qualifications

Education

Required

Bachelors or better in Mechanical Engineering or related field.

Experience

Required

• Experience with equipment layout design and utility requirements.

• Technical hands-on equipment troubleshooting and machine fabrication.

• Hands-on experience with equipment installation, contractor work scope, and construction management.

• Strong listening, verbal, and written communication skills, including presentation skills utilizing PwrPt.

• Strong math, statistical analysis, problem-solving, project management, and research skills.

• Intermediate skills in Office 365 (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and drawing software (AutoCAD or SolidWorks) required.

Preferred

• Minimum of 3 years experience in manufacturing equipment engineering in the powder handling industry
