Medicare and Health Insurance Specialist

If you are looking for an outstanding career opportunity with a dynamic, growing company, our successful Financial Planning firm in Tucson, AZ is hiring a Medicare and Health Insurance Specialist who will be responsible for caring for existing clients while continuing to grow our client base.

This team member will meet one on one with clients and be responsible for advising them about the details of Medicare and Health Insurance options, completing applications and providing ongoing support and follow-up.

You will be instrumental in ensuring clients enjoy the most memorable, positive experience when dealing with topics that are often confusing and overwhelming. Outside of the “open enrollment” period, you’ll assist the team in working with clients across all lines of business. Comprehensive training, tools and resources are provided to ensure your success.

Minimum Requirements:

  • Be intuitive, resourceful and coachable
  • Life, Health and Accident License in AZ preferred. If not currently licensed, you must be willing to pass the exam within 30 days of hire and be fully certified with all carriers prior to October 1st.
  • 2+ years of experience working in a professional office and fast-paced environment
  • Proficient skills with MS Office Suite and ability to use multiple systems daily
  • Comfortable and familiar with CRM platforms, Salesforce preferred
  • Financial and/or Insurance industry experience preferred, but not required

This position requires that you possess the following skills:

  • Ability to prioritize work, day to day tasks and issues that arise and the ability to handle multiple projects and tasks
  • Proficient with filing, phone systems, faxing, and scanners
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Exceptional interpersonal and phone/virtual meeting skills
  • Sincere and caring attitude
  • Thrive in a “time sensitive” environment and adaptable to changes without affecting the quality of work
  • Must be able to lift and hold at least 25lbs, sit or stand for extended periods of time, climb multiple flights of stairs

Responsibilities:

  • Provide an outstanding experience when meeting with prospective and existing clients
  • Update CRM system, provide various reports to main Advisor
  • Comply with all industry compliance training and reporting requirements
  • Answer phones and greet clients in a friendly, warm manner
  • Process paperwork in a timely and compliant manner; assisting with follow-up on documents
  • Maintain an organized, compliant, and efficient paper and electronic filing system
  • Manage calendars, client communication and day to day technology
  • Attend and contribute to team meetings
  • Maintain the office environment in an immaculate and organized condition
  • Maintain job-related/industry specific licensing, certifications and files
  • Prioritize daily tasks to be proactive in time management
  • Provide advisor a status at the end of each week

Salary:

  • $40,000 plus commissions and the ability for rapid growth

Hours:

  • Monday – Friday 8:30am – 5:30pm
  • Some evenings and weekends required especially from October 1st – December 31st
