Salary: $19.25 hourly

The Magic Castle is one of Los Angeles' most sought-after clubs and strives to create amazing experiences for both guests and staff. We are looking for Porters to join our growing team.

Previous experience in high-end, fast-paced restaurants is a plus but not mandatory.

The Porter performs cleanliness of the building such as picking up trash, sweeping, mopping, or using industrial cleaning equipment to clean floors, cleaning and stocking bathrooms, move stock, set/reset dining rooms for events. Retrieve glassware from the kitchen and returning them to the closest bar. Carry bus tubs from bars to dishwasher station in kitchen. In addition, porters will work with the Floor Managers in assisting guests with wheelchairs as needed. Attendance is an imperative job function.

Qualifications and Responsibilities:

Duties include but are not limited to the following:

· Complete Restrooms cleanliness and stocking.

· Wipe down mirrors and restroom walls.

· Sweep/pick up any debris off the floor.

· Return any used/dirty glassware to closest OPEN bar.

· Deliver bus tubs of plates/silverware from bars to kitchen.

· Focus on all areas of facility cleanliness.

· Maintain cleanliness of the Trash Bin and Recycling area outside the Club.

· Sweep the alley from Valet to the Inner Circle entrance.

· Clean any/all spills using proper precaution signs.

· Professional interaction with guests as required

· Neat, clean, and professional demeanor at all times throughout operational hours.

· Assist Floor Managers in expediting Handicap guests to and from showrooms/dining areas.

· Respond to radio calls via two-way radio.

Requirements and skills:

• Experience as a Porter, or similar entry-level role in a restaurant or similar establishment
• Physical ability and stamina to carry heavy bus trays and stand/walk for long hours

• Availability to work various shifts, including weekends
• Multi-tasking abilities
• Good oral communication skills
• Ability to remain calm and professional in a fast-paced work environment
• Service-minded attitude

Qualifications

• High School or GED equivalent
