Glades Talent is working with a company dedicated to providing the highest quality Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT) services. This growing organization is actively working to be in-network with insurance providers for outpatient and partial hospitalization levels of care. Position: Psychiatric Nurse Practitioner
Direct Supervisor: Medical Director

Qualifications:

• Master’s degree in Nursing (MSN) from an accredited educational institution

• Massachusetts licensure as an Advanced Practice Psychiatric Nurse

• ANCC certification as a Psychiatric Nurse Practitioner

Competencies:

• Sensitivity to cultural factors influencing mental health beliefs, attitudes, and treatment preferences, with the ability to provide culturally competent care.

• Skill in providing psychoeducation to patients and their families about mental health conditions, treatment options, and self-care strategies.

• Proficiency in prescribing and managing psychotropic medications, understanding their mechanisms of action, potential side effects, and interactions.

About the Role:

• Provide high-quality medication management to patients using evidence-based interventions, monitoring treatment progress, and adjusting plans as necessary.

• Collaborate with the Medical Director and interdisciplinary team, seeking consultation and supervision when needed.

• Participate in regular supervision at intervals determined with the Medical Director.

• Uphold DBT principles and strategies, including nonjudgment, empathy, and compassion, in interactions with clients and the team.

• Contribute to creating an environment where staff want to work and clients want to receive treatment.

• Assist in program development to improve patient care and team functioning.

• Conduct patient assessments, formulate treatment plans, prescribe medications, order laboratory tests, interpret results, provide patient education, and complete required documentation.

• Provide primary medical care services and referrals as necessary, collecting relevant records of prior care.

• Consult with the clinical team regarding transfers to higher levels of care and urgent medication issues as needed.
