Position Summary

Arlington, Virginia, USA, Remote

Thales is looking for a Real Estate Manager who will assist the North American Senior Director of Real Estate and Facility Management on project management and delivery regarding real estate and related services for all relevant Thales North America (USA & CAN) business units.

In this position, you will also support process improvement, project definition, approvals and documentation all related to the management of specific real estate projects.

Key Areas of Responsibility

* Manage real estate projects to ensure the timeliness and conformity, budget development and documentation, corporate reporting, annual budgeting & tracking, and working across departments at the Corporate, Country, & Business Unit levels.

* Manage and oversee assigned active NA real estate projects/transactions from inception to successful project completion, while ensuring that all trades/vendors remain within the project plan timeline, budget & scope of work, as well as keeping BUs within project scope & budget, etc.

* Interact with Senior Management at NA and Site level to obtain support and buy-in into the project and implementation.

* Develop budget for project plans and drive team members to meet project timeline and within budget.

* Oversee the project closeout documents related to lease Tenant Improvement (TI) reimbursements, to ensure payments are received from landlords, per agreed upon TI lease reimbursement language.

* Manage and oversee the annual multi-year budgeting activities (MYB), as necessary and escalate any concerns to the NA Real Estate Director.

* Generate documentation for assigned real estate business case presentations (RE Gate meetings), and for any weekly, bi-weekly, monthly & quarterly meetings, as necessary; as well as participates, and at times leads, in various RE Gate meetings, weekly, bi-weekly, monthly & quarterly meetings as requested.

* Support in the management of the NA Lease Administration (USA & CAN) system in order to track existing/new leases and scheduled rent payments for all relevant sites.

Minimum Qualifications

* 5 years of experience, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.

* Clear understanding of real estate project management terminology and of various project related agreements, including general understanding of principles, theories, and practices of real estate, design, construction, facilities operations.

* Able to multi-task multiple assignments, and when workload exceeds acceptable limits, engage with internal/external support

* Detail oriented and able to communicate effectively in writing and also in meetings; with ability to work independently and within a team.

* Very strong finance and accounting skills; highly organized and analytical.

* Proficient in MS Suites including Outlook, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint. Also comfortable with PDF reader/creator, CADs, Magnitude (Finance/Accounting software or other relevant software), etc.

Special Position Requirements

Travel will be required one to two weeks a month to visit facilities across the region.
