Product and Technical Sales Trainer

Stabilus is a global leader in the production of gas springs and dampers on five continents. This position will be located at ACE Controls, Inc., a Stabilus company. ACE is the internationally recognized expert in the field of industrial damping technology. The company’s portfolio includes automation control, motion control, vibration control and safety products.

Job Summary:

We are looking for a team-oriented and enthusiastic individual to be responsible for product and knowledge training for all relevant stakeholders within the Stabilus Industrial Business Unit as well as outside sales partners. The goal is to strengthen overall product and application knowledge for our employees, new hires/colleagues, partners, and customers by performing the following duties:

Essential Job Functions:

• Transferring product and market specific knowledge about technically sophisticated products and applications to internal and external target groups
• Conceptualize and implement target group specific training courses (digital, face-to-face, and blended) with subsequent evaluation and documentation.
• Create training documents and materials. Continuously improve based on product developments, training strategies and requirements.
• Content support for digital learning content including web-based training, learning videos, animations, etc.
• Identifying training needs in collaboration with internal stakeholders and the Head of Training.
• Evaluation of defined training KPI’s and creation of reports.
• Develop strategic training plan for both internal and external sales resources. Maintain schedule of training courses prospectively also in our LMS.
• Provide on-site and virtual trainings per the defined training strategy and schedule.
• Work with the Event Coordinator and host entertainment events in conjunction with on-site training courses.
  

Education, Training, Certifications:

• 4-year college degree in Mechanical Engineering or Business Administration is preferred, or a combination of relevant work experience related to role.

Experience:

• 3+ years of related professional experience as a trainer for technically sophisticated products with sales focus.
• Well-rounded and demonstrable product and market knowledge in the field of industrial automation and handling, in particular gripping and positioning systems would be a plus.

Job Knowledge and Skills:

• Conduct sales-oriented training of technically sophisticated products.
• Professional trainer education is desirable.
• Additional sales experience is a plus.
• Independent, structured work-style.
• Excellent presentation skills are required.
• High target group orientation.
• Conceptual thinking and creativity.
• Effective verbal and written communication skills.
• MS Office experience.
• Detailed Learning Management System experience is a plus.
• Ability to multi-task, prioritize and manage time effectively.
• Highly organized.
• Willingness to travel up to 25%.

Accountability:

• Responsible to follow all ACE Controls procedures and technical guidelines as well as adhere to customer requirements.

• While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to talk or hear. The employee frequently is required to stand; walk; use hands to finger, handle or feel; and reach with hands and arms.
• This position requires the ability to occasionally lift products and supplies, up to 30 pounds.
